A few quick updates after a much enjoyed MLK meeting (minutes coming soon; we ate snake meat!).
- We've adjusted our scoring system. While we will still be discussing scores at meetings as a way of judging and quantifying the enjoyment of our nachos, we are instituting a Real Time Nacho Peddler Ranking System (RTNPRS--pronounced "rittenpurs"). You can find it in the right column, where the meeting locations are ranked by awesomeitude.
- The first poll has closed. Salsa has been chosen as the most crucial non-cheese topping. New poll up soon. Vote away.
- We have learned of multiple other nacho-oriented groups in our region, and are considering militarizing and becoming a warring faction in defense of Nacho Club's honor. More to come on that, but links to other club's sites are included at the right (really? an interactive nacho map! we are not impressed...) for the purposes of reconnaissance.
Dear Cambridge Nacho Club,
ReplyDeleteNacho Patrol has a few bullet points of their own that they would like to share with you n00bs:
-While we are all about friendly competition, we would appreciate at least an attempt at establishing diplomatic relationships before you leap to military action and, worse, insult our website. A poll? What are you running on, Angelfire??
-Google, Google, Google. Ever seen "Knocked Up", where Seth Rogen's character devotes his life to creating a website cataloguing celebrity nudity, only to find that someone else has already done it, and better? Heed.
-If you're bored, then you're boring; likewise, if you're disappointed in that lack of nachos at Border Cafe, do something about it! http://nachopatrol.com/2009/05/30/places-we-wish-had-nachos-where-we-actually-made-them-happen-border-cafe/
I was REALLY impressed by the nacho map. The only thing more impressive would be a nacho "app" for the hungry nacho-enthusiast-about-town...
ReplyDeleteWhat's an Angelfire?
ReplyDeleteWe tried very hard to get the app made, one of us even going so far as to date an iPhone developer, but no luck. We've enrolled A-Trix in CompSci 101, hopefully something will come of that.
